2007 LA Weekly/Village Voice Film Poll

Twbb22007’s last (list) hurrah arrives in the form of the LA Weekly/Village Voice Film Poll, which returns after a one-year hiatus and, like so many other critics lists, is topped by There Will Be Blood. My ballot, which differs only slightly from the one I submitted for indieWIRE‘s poll, can be found at the below link.

  1. That’s great you gave props to McLovin.
His portrayal is like the anti-Napoleon Dynamite: a geek lovingly written by geeks instead of by mean-spirited, cool-kid bullies.

  2. The amazing thing about McLovin is that his shtick should get old after about five minutes. Instead, though, it just gets increasingly funnier until, by the end, he’s become the actual star of the film.
