Festival Fatigue

One of the year’s busiest weeks comes to a close on Friday with a screening of David Lynch’s new 3-hour DV opus Inland Empire. But before then, I’ve got a bunch of new reviews to offer you, my faithful readers, including ones for this Friday’s three wide releases (highlighted by Scorsese’s pretty good The Departed), a mediocre NYFF entry, and Werner Herzog’s classic Aguirre, the Wrath of God, which receives a NYC re-release later this month at Film Forum.

Provided I get some sleep first, I’ll also hopefully have links to my review of Bong Joon-ho’s awesome The Host, as well as a write-up of Jafar Panahi’s Offside, posted on the site later this weekend.
